Oh Joy of Joys

Guillermo ‘Willie’ Fisch was an ever-present joyous institution, a larger-than-life personality who brought joy to all who knew, met, or even just saw him. Several of Willie’s friends and acquaintances banded together to immortalize Willie in this joyous bronze sculpture.

Guillermo “Willie” Fisch came to Bingen in 2005, from Buenos Aires, Argentina where he had earned degrees in advanced naval architecture and marine engineering. Serving in city council, Willie shared his joy and passion for wine, food and people. The people of Bingen got together to create a celebration of Willie’s life and memory.
